• Plan, plan, plan! Autumn is a great time to take stock of how the garden has looked through the spring and summer (making allowances for the extreme heat) and make a note of what may need to be done over winter to improve areas next year.  I offer a full consultation service to advise on how you can improve your garden.

• Water! Although the weather is cooling down and rain has appeared don't get caught out! Keep on top of watering newly planted areas.  Best to water gently for a longer time to draw roots deeper into the soil thus helping them be able to withstand future droughts.

• Keep deadheading annuals and Dahlias to get the most colour through Autumn.

• Order spring flowering bulbs.

• Start to spilt herbaceous perennials.

• Plant Autumn/Winter baskets and pots.
